This is little technique I learned when I first started to learn about Oil Painting and the perils of transporting a wet canvas. It comes in very handy for Plein Air Painting when you're painting outside and need to transfer your work home.


The things you will need for this are a roll of tape, a set of four pushpins and of course, a pair of same-sized canvases-- freshly painted!




Stick your four pushpins into the four corners of one of your canvases.



Carefully Balance your other wet canvas face down on top of the four pins.



Tear off four pieces of tape and stick them on the four sides in order to secure the canvases from moving.



And Voila! You have a Canvas Sandwich, perfect for transporting your wet masterpieces!
